What was your first pedal?

Pretty sure there's been a thread like this before, but my first pedal was a DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus many years ago. Got it to noodle around with because of Nirvana (I was a kid... ) and later used it for 80's cheese.

In 1986 I bought a bass (Hondo flying V) from some kid that came with a used ProCo Rat and a DOD FX-72 (bass stereo flanger). I just sold the Rat for $125 but still have the DOD.

A ProCo RAT distortion pedal, 1987. I did use it in one cover song that my band played that year (Big Black's "The Model" - which in turn was a cover of a Kraftwerk song).

Epic, I learned to play bass listening to Big Black and Killdozer.
