A gram of either weighs the same.

I think an ounce of either also weighs the same.

But I think I remember that gold is measured in troy pounds, which are 12 ounces, while feathers are in avoirdupois pounds, which are 16 ounces.

Probably the feathers since you'll need to bundle or bag them so they stay put on the scale. And gold is more likely to grow legs and disappear.
