What wireless system to buy?

Yup - Line6 has 'em all beat regarding wireless, IMO... I've been using the same XDR-95 for over 3 years now, well over 200 gigs on this thing, and it's been flawless... I also have an XDS-PLUS that I bought used, and it's been great, also - although I haven't used it all that much...

One of my guitarists has the G50, as do two other friends, and they're all very happy with their G50s...

I had the senny gw-172, the second version, for 500 bucks. Bullet proof

I bought a (forgot what one) and it worked at practice, but not at a gig---hahaha! Glad I brought a cable. And , almost threw that one away!

Now, I have an audio technica I got for 40 bucks on CL. Uses 9 volt batts
Its the one that sells for about 120 on GC site--

I'm going for the Line 6 XDS that was suggested. Looks like a great, solid wireless.

Just wondering what the part # for the ac adapter for the receiver was.

Or better yet, can I just use a 9V ac adapter that I already have with it? Since it takes a 9V battery on the unit if you dont use an adapter.

XAC2 (9V DC 100mA power supply for XDR1 - PSA120 type)

I would think any 9V 100mA power supply with the right plug & polarity would work.

The Visual Sound OneSpot works great as well. Less bulky that the Line6 Adapter,

I'll swim against the current here and say I've had a mediocre impression of Line6 wireless units. They weren't terrible, just sucked a little bit of gain and a little of the low end IME. I currently use a stageclix jack which has served me flawlessly for almost a year, no batteries, no frequency limitations, no beltpack and no worries. It is more expensive but I would highly recommend at least checking it out.

Does anyone else have other suggestions for a power adapter?

My owners manual says 9V DC 100mA Alkaline Battery OR PSA120 type adapter.

I can't seem to find a 100mA adapter. I found 250, 800, 500, 600, 9V adapters...

Thanks!

A 250 will work just fine - in this instance, you can exceed the 100mA rating without any worries... Just make sure the polarity is correct, and you're good to go...

Been using the Brace 2.4 GHz system for about a year now, sounds great, excellent CS, and reliable.
That's good to hear Okcrum. My band's Lead Guitarist is wanting to go to that system soon. I use the L6 G90 Rack Mount and couldn't be happier, flawless performance.

I used the Sure PGX system before the L6, and found it to have too many issues with receiving local radio stations, which was not cool.

I then switched to the Sennheiser EW 172, but found it rather noisey...constant 60 cycle hum.

I tried all three, G30, G50 and G90 and preferred the G90 for both range, and rack mount capabilities.

Chears!
