What would you do?

Let's say you were asked to play bass backing up a resonalby well known local singer/songwriter, and this person also happens to be the bass player for his "regular" band. Would you try to emulate his bass sound/style/tone by playing a similar sounding bass, or would you bring your "regular" bass and bass sound/tone for the gig?
Just curious what you would do.

I guess i'd try to emulate his tone as best as I can.
Maybe... I really don't know

Well, it sounds like he's hiring YOU; if he wanted someone to copy his style, why not just play himself? You should probably ask him though.
