Just finished The Sandman series on Netflix. Entertaining if you're into that sort of thing. Funny seeing GOT chick portraying Lucifer. Speaking of Lucifer, loved that series, what a riot!

Watched John Wick 4 this evening. It was like watching someone play a 1st person shooter game for 3 hours. With a story this weak, they could have cut it to half the time.

Kinda by the numbers but the gore alone was totally worth it. What a mind f***! Made my stomach churn a few times, especially with the eye/pregnancy stuff.

I wish it was more goofy, though.

Not at all. New cast, new vision, new Evil Dead. With less gags and humor. The gore was amazing, though! I would recommend it just for the visual feast itself

There are few pieces of fan service in the dialogue, though. As a big fan, I enjoyed it. It's properly nasty.

Well, since no one else has mentioned it:

Incredible filmmaking on every level, though a choppy beginning.
Some may find it artistically pretentious - they would be wrong IMO. It is effective and disturbing, as it should be.

Not long after we met, wifey told me she had a secret desire to be the one standing off-camera throwing buckets of chicken blood and entrails into the shot. I believe you'd have to come from a background of pre CGI B and many times C or worse, horror movies to fully appreciate that desire.

That sounds like something I would absolutely love to do, you kidding me? That sounds AMAZING!

Sound of Freedom should've been a documentary. This was a movie about the luring, stealing, and selling of child sex slaves. As a dramatized narrative, with an amazing script and a great director, it could've been great. But as is, it's a bad movie telling a horrific story. It's like if Schindler's List had been made with a bad script and incompetent director.
