Funny you should mention Hellboy (Ron Perlman). We watched Pacific Rim last night; Ron's in it.
He is? I started that movie but couldn't get on board with the premise of the it. I'll give it a whirl again now. Thanks for that post.

Hellboy is great, Pacific Rim less so, but still fun. Perlman is a treasure.

Have you seen Quest For Fire? A much different role for Ron than we're used to.

I saw it in the theater when it came out a long time ago in another century! I should see if my library has it.
I'm with you. Although I didn't see it in the theater, I watched it on HBO at my buddies house a couple years later.

We just watched that, too. I agree about the ending but overall it was quite good.
I just placed a hold on it at the library, so a few days to a week and I'll get to see it, again.
Sex Appeal

I was ready to hate Wonka. I did fall asleep about 45 minutes in, but I didn't hate what I was awake through. It was much......less awful than Johnny Depp Wonka. I won't be going back to see the rest. I think kids will like it.
I really enjoyed that one since I've seen the other Kevin Smith movies.Clerks III
If you're a Ron Perlman fan, check out "Run With The Hunted" (2019). It was filmed in and around Tulsa and is really good.
We watched "A Christmas Story Christmas" this weekend. We weren't sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. It is funny and touching and well-written (thanks to Peter Billingsley). There are some great nods to the original, many of the original cast return, and the new characters, including Ralphie's kids, are very good. We saved it and will watch it again.
I'm still not sure what Depp was trying to do with the character. Gene Wilder was charmingly eccentric; Depp was just weird, and not good weird...creepy weird. I haven't seen the new movie.
