Whatcha watching?

This movie always brings back some of my best kid memories as I was living this! :)

I was living in San Diego, Pacific Beach in the early '60. My first skateboard was a Hobbie Super Surfer, like this with clay wheels...

We moved to Hawaii and someone stole it :(

This is how we rolled:)

Yup!
I lived about two blocks from the ocean.
That kneeling thing on the skateboard was something we copied from watching the surfers from our neighborhood.

:)
Have you guys seen "Dogtown and Z-Boys"?

I don't take my moves from Bollywood. But I don't fear dancing. I've been told there are 7 stories and that's it. Expect that number depends on how far you want to reduce things. But, people being people, I'd be surprised if Hindi came up with a wildly different number.

This one sort of took all 7 and threw them in a blender and hit 'frappe'

Season 3 of Resident Alien is cracking me up.
We really like that series. Alan Tudyk does such a great job with that character.

A couple of weeks ago I watched "The Whale". Man, such joy and devastation in the same movie. Brendan Fraser certainly deserved the accolades he received for that one. But it's one of those movies I can probably only watch once because of the emotional toll it takes.

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

I generally don't get into movies with too many plot possibilities, like time travel movies, memory loss/recovery movies, and lately theoretical multiverse/parallel universes movies. But this movie really worked for me.

I would have expected Mark Ruffalo to be cast in the lead role instead of Jim Carrey, but Carrey was brilliant as the lead, and Ruffalo was perfect in the role he played. Also, the movie did a great job of illustrating the moral
and ethical weaknesses of some of the characters regarding the very personal information they had access to.

The best TNG movie of the 4!
Possibly, of all the ST movies. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home is an equal to it. Both those movies have everything going for them.
I don't have the DVD. Caught the movie on Amazon Prime. Definitely would've watched all extra stuff provided. The entire scoring of the film was wonderful to listen to.
Take the DVD out from your library or find it cheap at Half Price Books. All the special features are excellent; the cast really went the extra mile to make the movie great and authentic.

Presently : Sheffield United vs Arsenal

Last night : The Mire
which is a Communist era Polish mystery theme. The despair seems like you could touch it. Well made.

The Mire is great. The director is a friend (and a really good drummer). He also did Deep Water on Netflix which is excellent (set in the late 90's, as are the second and third seasons of The Mire) and his recent movie, Doppelganger, is terrific.
