Whatcha watching?

Venom 3 is a terrible movie. The CGI is bad. The dialogue seems to have been written by dumb teenagers. The acting was bad. I saw it on Saturday and I honestly can't remember anything else about it, except the inexplicable accent Tom Hardy puts on for these movies. I think the character is meant to be from New York, and that's his approximation of a New York accent. No one talks like that in New York. No one talks like that on the planet. It's weird.

The Trap, directed by M. Night Sham-a-lang-a-ding-dong. Some huge plot reaches typical of his movies, but overall was a fun watch. Also watched Caddo Lake which, I believe was produced by his company. I had to draw out a flow chart at the end to make sure I had it all figured out.

I bailed on this about 20 minutes in. 20 terrible minutes.

We finished "Salem's Lot" (1979) last night. Overall it was OK. Some of the scenes were obviously stretched out to fit the TV format, which made it feel odd. And there were some glaring plot holes. I'll need to go read the book now.

Just re-watched The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare - quite enjoyable, though likely nonsense in terms of historical accuracy. Still, it was fun. Alan Richardson is a BEAST!

This movie is fascinating. It's terrible. The dialogue is ridiculous. It's barely a movie. It's just scenes. E from Entourage directed it. It's wild. Travolta is great as Gotti but he has nothing to work with. It had other great actors saying terrible lines. Apparently Pacino was in it but his scenes were cut. It's a bizarre movie.
