I'm pretty sure their thinking is that because Joker is primarily known as a Batman villain, they must make the connection to the Batman/DC universe. But I agree...it could have - and should have - been a modern-day "Taxi Driver."
The whole "universe" thing, whether it be DC, Marvel, Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR or whatever, seems to demand tie-ins.
The Substance is awesome. Hilarious, gross, completely over the top. Somewhat thought-provoking in a ham-handed way, but thoroughly fun if you're into genre fare

The 1980 version with Hal Holbrook, which in my opinion is much better. It was even freaking out the dog watching it with me.

Baseball (Yankees) and Football (KC) switching back and forth. I watched 2 episodes of Tulsa King earlier.
Warehouse 13. Sometimes a little lightly comedic, utterly benign, sci fi is just what's needed.
You were not kidding about the progressive decline of this show. I'm halfway through season 5 and I'm really struggling to go on. For first time in the I'm not entirely sure what's happening because it's not keeping my attention. If season 6 really is worse, I might just stop here.
Saturday we watched "Tucker and Dale vs Evil" again. That is such a great movie! It really turns the horror genre on its head.
Yesterday I watched "Phantasm". It's been decades since I last saw it, and I didn't remember much about it, to be honest. Now I understand why. It's really bad. So bad it's good, I guess?

Gonna try to catch it this week before it leaves my local theater. I’ve heard a lot of good things, and it’s definitely up my alley genre-wise.
The Wild Robot was okay. It felt formulaic. Didn't have much heart. Good for kids.

"Everybody Still Hates Chris" is short on laughs and short on heart, while the original live-action series has an abundance of both.
I'm a big fan of Chris Rock and the original series, but this new animated series just doesn't have it.

I watched this one last night. Good movie. It's funny how much smaller the Rock was in 2005 before he got huge totally naturally with hard work and dedication only and definitely no steroids.
Finally saw it, and wow. One of the most over-the-top disturbing movies I've seen in ages. I loved it, but it's definitely not for everyone.
