I thought that movie had no chance of working - how are a bunch of relatively primitive Old West people going to battle aliens advanced enough for space travel? - but it worked. I liked it a lot.Cowboys & Aliens with the boy.
Dumb and fun is almost always a winner!I thought that movie had no chance of working - how are a bunch of relatively primitive Old West people going to battle aliens advanced enough for space travel? - but it worked. I liked it a lot.
I'm enjoying it. It's stylized for sure, though. Catherine Hahn is always a gem.Started Agatha all along yesterday
Not sure what I think of it yet![]()
It got weaker as it went along, and they butchered the final season, but it's probably my favorite sci-fi tv show ever.I finally started The Expanse. I'm nearly done with the first season. It's very, very good. I like space sci-fi that's limited to one solar system. Firefly was similar, but it was a multi-star system. Really good stuff.
Keep trying to watch it...several attempts. But come on...let's move a bit fasterThe Perfect Couple on Netflix. Sort of a soap-y murder mystery. Nicole Kidman and Eve Hewson (Bono's daughter) are the leads. It's fine so far, but nothing that makes you think too hard. That's ok sometimes.
It sucks how that's not surprising at all.It got weaker as it went along, and they butchered the final season, but it's probably my favorite sci-fi tv show ever.
I would have to disagree about it getting weaker. The final season was a bit whacked because they knew they had to wrap it up and not continue the story from the books. Too bad it ended there. There is so much good stuff in the later books. It got weaker as it went along, and they butchered the final season, but it's probably my favorite sci-fi tv show ever.
The books didn't get weaker, but I felt the series was increasingly rushed. That said, I've watched the whole shebang probably four times now. I was bummed when it was canceled.I would have to disagree about it getting weaker. It's also my favorite sci-fi TV series. It is based on real science without a lot of mumbo-jumbo magic needed to make an interstellar-based story (except the part that isn't![]()

Great recommendation. Just watched the first episode. And a Sci fi show I know can't get canceled early!I finally started The Expanse. I'm nearly done with the first season. It's very, very good.
