whats a good 15 without a tweeter?

At the studio where my band practices, they've got a couple of old-ish Marshall 2x15s, which have turned out to be very versatile, even though I'm used to 4x10s. Not small/light though.

You may also want to consider cabs with a tweeter that can be dialed both on or off - if the mood strikes. Best of both worlds.

If you want to save some cash---order Some Eminence Delta 15" Drivers online.
Then go to Home Depot and get some Pink Panther stuff and some gloves and a mask.
Then order some 15" Ported Bass cabs from Lopo Line

Put it all together at home-voila.

Cost is about 100 for the driver 200 bux for the cab
Pink panther stuff--I dont know, the dad had some around his shed
Mask gloves--10 bucks max.

This is what I did, X2 and I am having a blast with my setup--easy to carry...add casters=easy to roll, man.

All parts made in the USA too! +100 for patriotism.

15/6 is the only clear answer here.

That said, the only other thing I'd consider as a standalone 15 would be a Mesa Powerhouse 115, or a home built 3 cubic foot box with a Kappalite 3015 in it.
