what's broken in my speaker?

i've got a speaker from my 810 that just stopped working. all 7 others are fine.
the cone isn't torn, visually it looks fine. but no sound.
it doesn't even pass the battery test

is there anything I can do with this speaker?
is it just junk now?

Use a battery to pop it, but use a piece of speaker wire and go directly to the leads going inside of the speaker. Its rare, but sometimes the terminal connection to the lead will be faulty. If it doesn't pop with a good battery, its most likely an open voice coil. Either get it re-coned or replaced.

ya know, I never thought they changed the voice coil when you did a recone, I thought all they did was change the cone. silly me.
