What's Coming and Going XV: My Baby's Daddy...

I have had a change of heart on my idea of expanding the guitar board out to a bunch of noise pedals. I was sitting there last night playing the various folk songs I know and I was happy with the simple formula of dirt + tremolo. So, as much as I am tempted by the inexpensive things, I would prefer to remove the distractions and simplify again. I seem to have lost my love for flanger, as well. And I thought I was missing something by not having delay, but I think I have also lost my love for delay pedals. And with the Wilson Fuzz Boost on the way, the Mooer Pure Boost won't be needed. The Wilson can do clean boost -- I went with the Fuzz Boost because it wasn't much more to also be a Fuzz.

Going:
* Delta Lab DD1 Digital Delay
* Mooer Pure Boost
* Mooer Pitch Box
* Guyatone ST-2 Compressor Sustainer
* MXR M152 Micro Flanger

Summary of Ordered/In The Mail
* Wilson Fuzz Boost
* Wilson Trem-Mellow
* [sfx]-modded Digitech Bad Monkey (for my bass)
* VFE Bumblebee junior
* Joyo 6-Band EQ
* EHX Freeze

Maybe the Freeze and Bumblebee will impress me enough to stay. They are both completely different from any effect I have purchased or used.

I'm starting to think similar type thoughts about my bass board. I keep looking at it and asking myself what the essential effects are, then asking again, and again until I get it down to 2 or less effects. So I think I'll try an essentials board and an effects palette board and link them together. I've sorta tried this once and I know others are doing it too (darkbarn). I'm thinking it'll help me focus on my technique.
Probably not, heh.

gone:
DMC-3XL
Divided Octave

still going:
Timeline
Monarch

coming:
nothing

I haven't done this but I have thought about it, my board is more stripped down than it has been in a while partly because I've flipped a few things and spent the funds on a bigger board and the drone synth I picked up. Funny I was running out of space, got a bigger board and now I have less pedals than when I had the smaller board.

I'd definitely be happy with a light board with just dirt on it though. Patch that to another board with all the modulation and delay when needed.

OOG. woof. gonna try to do a vidja thing tonight. because WOOMPFH. there's some ANGER in the Pitch Grinder. ANGER.

also, on the fence if i want an OG Flashback or a X4. need to look at how the looper's implemented on the X4. anybody got an OG they want to do trades for? murrrr?

This kind of thinking is how I pared down to my Pedaltrain Mini as my main board. :bassist:

IN: Pedalboard/overdrive frustration. !@#$%^&!

On the Mini, I've gone from B3K to Dark Driving and back to B3K, now dug the SFT back out of the box. (see previous post)

On my PT1, Fromel DIG and Flipster came off, Tubeworks Bluetube on and............. uh.... a few holes to figure out what to do with. Just sat there for like two hours staring at the stupid thing and I got nuthin'. lol Had to put it away for a while.

The one thing I do have is a plan for the space above the tuner. I've seen clocks on boards and think it's a great idea. Just have to find a small clock that's the right size.
