Crap in a hat! Is that the dubstep pedal that Taylor was talking about, or the pedal that turned a signal into a sine wave?
It's a variation on the "dub-step" pedal. Or rather, a custom version of it. I didn't think I would get the kind of use that somebody like John Davis would get out of the "dub-step" feature (pitch tracking which changed the rate of the cutoff LFO based on where on the neck you played) so I opted not to have it.
Mine is a 2 pole/4 pole low pass filter with controls for sensitivity, resonance and frequency with switches for a slow or fast attack/decay and a switch between up and down sweeps.
It also has an LFO to control the cutoff frequency with controls for rate, depth, waveshape and wave distort along with a tap tempo switch for rate.
It also has expression jacks for filter cutoff frequency and one for LFO rate multiplier so that I can change the LFO rate while staying in time (double, quadruple etc).
And as you can see mine is an etched enclosure so it will fit in with the rest of my board.
"Bubble Chamber" was my choice for the name of my custom box but I'm not sure if Taylor has decided for sure on the name of the Xerograph's big bro. I know he was thinking about making it the official name.
I can't wait to get it in my hands - it will be the centerpiece of what I want to do with my pedalboard.
And I have one more pedal eventually coming from Iron Ether that I'm equally excited about. I'll have a full review of both when they arrive. As a side note, Taylor has been incredibly cool to work with on these pedals and I can't wait to see the stuff that comes out of Iron Ether in the months and years to come.
