I love the sound of the dc2, I replaced my with a fromel clone that has more headroom and volume unity. It's best in stereo.

I've never used the Boss version, but the John Fromel Seraph is based on that pedal (and improved on) and I do have a Seraph.

Call it a chorus pedal for people who don't like chorus. It's less of a traditional chorus and more of a "doubler." The best way I can describe it is that it's like two of you... two basses playing the same thing at the same time. Soundwise, it's pretty close to the sound of a Boss PS-5 in Detune mode, slightly detuned... which I was using before I got the Seraph because I couldn't find a chorus I liked. ;)

There's no speed or depth controls, it's got preset settings that you turn on and off. The main difference is that while you can only use ONE preset at a time with the Boss Dimension C, John has programmed the Seraph so that you can COMBINE presets for progressively thicker chorus sounds.

I've always wanted to try the Dimension C, but I never found one for less than what the Fromel cost, so I went with the Seraph. John did some KILLER case art for it, too. ;)

I knew that but felt the need to rub it in. And while I agree I would love polyphonic too I know it will never happen and sound the same... inless you run each string on it's own pickup and so you could run each string through it's own octaver..:D

You can also do the "combine multiple modes together" with the Behringer version of this, which I have and think sounds great. It's the CC-300.

Mine came in yesterday as well- and I was having a surprisingly good time playing with it this time. I'm amazed :D
