whats the biggest crowd you have played for?

ToyzBass, you wouldn't happen to be the former bassist for Jaxon Jill, would you???

:)

On topic:

#1: NYE 2000-2001, EPCOT, Main Stage, ~100,000 people....that was intense.

#2: A festival (I've now forgotten the name) in Paris, France; ~10,000 people, right outside this amazing cathedral.

:D
Yep, that's me. I guess we're both former Jaxon Jill bassists huh? I just joined the TalkBass Forums, this is great!

yeah 500 for a jazz group is not too bad
i get around 70-90 every sunday in the childrens church band and about 300-350 every wednesday night for youth band
biggest crowd was 800-1000 people
didnt really count but thats what i would guess

my old band used to draw about 75 ppl by itself, and usually in all there would be about 125 ppl at the show

most i played for was nearly for about 300 ppl (that were paying attention) at my college's end of semester festival last may (springfest)
though there were over 1000 in attendance

Crowd estimated at 2500, but it wasn't strictly a concert. It was a 4th of July celebration with food and fireworks. We were the featured musical entertainment. It was hot as blazes during the day, but by the time we took the stage it had started to cool off and a breeze came up, so it wasn't too bad.

All ages in the crowd, so we played a little of everything.

Yup, we are...and I'm still bummed about it, really didn't want to give the gig up. Great bunch of guys/girl, lots of fun on that gig...but family is first...I don't really even talk to them since then, it just bums me out too much.

TB is a gas, some good folks here, and some not so good, but that is how any online forum goes...
