whats the biggest crowd you have played for?

This was years before I started playing bass but my freshman year in high school, I played in front of 2000 at ISU(illinois state university) at this thing we have in illinois called superstate where all the best bands in the state compete. I was a percussionist, which is a lil harder than playing bass with a crowd that big cuz the main thing the less musically inclined people look at is the percussion section in a symphonic band, so it was like, all eyes on us, especially when you play the timpani. I miss that, it was the last year we won grand champion, and my high schools band hasnt even made it to superstate since the year after that only cuz we were honor band from winning the previous year. I probly never played in front of more than 50 people in my metal band.
Believe it or not, for me it was the Sunday morning worship service for a local Christian music festival (LifeLight).
It was with a pick-up band of musicians from various local churches, on the main stage (huge P.A.). I heard that anywhere from 10,000 to 30,000 were out front and would have been much more except it rained a ton the night before and the area in front of the stage was basically a mud pit. Since then the organizers have gone with national names to lead worship there on Sunday morning (it was Lincoln Brewster this year), but it was really an amazing experience.

We average about 20 - 30 per show at best... kinda rough making it as a non country non cover band in a southern town/city. It's still a lot of fun though.

My band in college played 4 shows at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996. There were an immense amount of people from all over the world at the first show. Don't really know if I can wrap my head around an exact number. I guess anywhere between 2000 and 5000. I'm not saying they were there to see us, but the were there nonetheless. The last show we played there, we performed for 2 bums that had been sleeping under our stage! They were nice enough to stay and watch.
Later that year, we played a banquet in DC for about 3500 college students from around the US. That was crazy. There were girls begging us for autographs and trying to sneak on our bus. Kinda awesome. Kinda miss those days
Its gone downhill since then. Last week I was excited because we had 80 students crammed in our Youth Room at church for Wednesday Night College Worship!
That's impressive for a church our size.

got really lucky finding my current band. My second gig with them was to open for Fuel at Gasparillafest in Tampa last January - at least 6,000 people in front of us!
We've had multiple gigs since then in front of 1,000 and 2,000-3,000. Got like doing bike rallies!!

last gig was 10,000 at Masters of Rock festival, Chech Rep.

well... lets see here... the toronto santa claus parade... somewhere around 6 million including the television audience IIRC.
and as far as not on tv... 60~80,000 at the monday night football game last year in buffalo... and apparently we've been on tv for that too... so lots and lots of people

Played warm up at a couple of state fairs for five or 6 thousand.
Biggest crowd I ever saw though, was in that movie "Woodstock"

Me, for three months (a few years back) about 10-15,000 a show- average three shows a week- gotta love new-country gigs!!!!
A combined at our church over our Easter services- aprox 27,000.
On Sundays average between 1400 and 2000.
