what's the difference between a club and a bar?

Well, a club usually has a knob on one end, whereas a bar is normally the same width for it's entire length. You can hit people with either on though.

Well there are clubhouse sandwiches (Or just Club sandwiches)--but I don't know about barhouse or bar sandwiches...

Bars in my area=no waitress,no covercharge,pooltables,mix your own drink if liquor is served,no tipping required,smoking allowed,most everybody know somebody, no dress codes,truck drivers,shipyard workers,all bluecollars welcome,no stage,small dancefloor,no food except maybe at the counter,the women? WELLLL there are some that you could...But clubs are anything but the above if it's a real club

So what do you call the place where people go to dance, if not a dance club/night club? Don't tell me it's a "disco" in Oz.

Night Club....Haven't seen a disco since 1979!...(never been in one either!)
