What's the SMALLEST "crowd" you ever played to?

I went to watch a friend's band play a few weeks ago. We walked in during the 2nd or 3rd song of the opening band. There were 7 people in there, including the bartender, and 3 of those were sleeping on a big sofa in the back of the room. No one even came until the break between the bands. Not joking. I've never seen anything like it.
It's too bad too, because the band is decent.

Our drummer was the bartender, so that's one less than zero in the crowd. We played a set watched only by his dog. Halfway through, the dog slowly and deliberately turned around and left. I asked the drummer if he wanted to go after it, and he was so mad at it he let it wander the city streets for an hour ...

Wow...that's harsh! Doggie walked out...Everyone really is a critic, huh?

Sammie, my 100 lb Lab, loves it when we play. He lays on my feet the whole time. But he gets pissed if the bass guitar stops, and starts barking at me...keep playing!!! He hates it when we stop to make notes or take a break at rehearsals.

Nice. We played a benefit for autistic kids once, they all wandered off elsewhere and we played to three horses for the whole set. They never even turned around to acknowledge us, just stayed there with their butts a little too close to us for comfort...

I've never played for horses, but on the subject of playing to animals, last summer here it was 45 degrees C one day (about 113 degrees F), too hot to do anything, so I thought I'd get some practice in. No sooner had I plugged in and turned on the amp than my dog (a different one) decided she had rather go outside (away from the air con) AND SIT IN THE SUN than listen to me! Are these poor dumb animals trying to send me a message?

This IS the best one so far!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFLMAO!

How can you go lower than this one?!

How much lower? We once went to the restaurant next door to the venue to eat before the gig and when the waiter worked out what band we we in, refused to serve us and ran away, leaving someone else to take over. I'll never forget the scared look on his face when he realised who we were. His last muttered words were something along the lines of "Your reputation precedes you ... "
