What's this stand?

Anybody know what this stand is?

I counted 56 knobs in this picture (:

@Guinness20 ,
I was at Bass San Diego today and saw two of the stands you referred to in your original post.
Here's a pic of the stand:

And in case you cannot see it, here's a pic of the manufacturer/distributor/whatever:

Not sure if it's evident from the 1st photo, but this stand doesn't really 'fold up.' You have to take the top portion off, then remove the two arms that hold the instrument's bottom. You can then fold up the legs.
In other words, it's not as portable as it appeared in the original photo you posted. As such, it doesn't work for me. However, it might for you. If you're interested, you can give Chris or George a call at Link Removed (858-550-0300). I'm sure they could work something out for you.

Hope that helps...

I think on reflection, having received lots of advice in this thread, I'm either going to go for the Markbass Keeper or one of these:

Those types of stands scare me. I've used one only once and my bass was only on the stand for about an hour, but I was nervous the entire time. They just look like the bass will fall over sideways at the slightest breeze, ya know?!
Even though they aren't as lightweight and compact, I'm gonna stick with the types that secure the neck and have a wider base. I currently use a Hercules 414B and it's held up for me fine for the past 5 years. I keep checking to make sure the head isn't falling apart and so far, so good. Although, if I'm honest, I'd rather have something that supported the bottom of my bass as well rather than just at the neck.

Looking at the pic of the one you're probably going to use... If it had an additional piece of tubing that extended up from the apex of the A frame that would hold and support even a portion of the neck of an instrument, I might be persuaded to give it a try. (Not sure how they would fit it in with the present design, especially looking at the folded pics.)

I have the Hercules 414B but it's got quite a large footprint compared to other stands and it doesn't fold up particularly small. At the minute going into a gig, I carry my bass in one hand, my cabinet in the other then I put the amp head in its own small bag, along with a stand and cables into a backpack and put that on my back. The Hercules won't fit in my back pack.

Thanks for the feedback on that aluminium stand. It seems to be the most stable of the mini stands that don't support the neck. I would go for one of these:

But the trouble is the handle on my cabinet is in line with the neck joint so I can't use one of these.

I'm looking for a stable stand that can be used on really small stages and folds up really small.

I've owned two Hercules GS414B
hercules-guitar-stands.jpg

stands since 2014 and both stands have deteriorated the exact same way. The handle you squeeze to raise or lower the catch height turns at first into a really sticky rubbery surface. At first I thought mine were sprayed with something but it turned out not to be the case. The rubber breaks down with time and the spring loaded components break down too. One day I went for the stand I wasn't using and when I picked it up the spring jumped out and the entire rubber surface where you adjust the height had disintegrated and this is unacceptable for something that never saw one second of abuse. Because the one fell apart I'm afraid to leave any of my other basses on the other stand just knowing it would be in harms way as the rubber on that stand is deteriorating also. Bad design and when you go to their website you can click on what country you live in but the site never takes you to a dealer or distributors page so as a consumer I'm just stuck with @ $80+ worth of junk.

I am back with good news. I was able to finally make contact with the Hercules stands customer service, made my case, provided some documentation and pics and they made me whole. They replaced both my GS414 stands and I'm very thankful to them.
