Not a Force, I think. It's a Vulture or an SB-40. - But anyway, Matsumoku, home of Aria basses, reportedly built most of the Washburns between 1979 and 1985 ("Wings" and "Stage" series), so the OP made a good guess.

It looks like a SB-40 of some period. I saw an image of one with identical tailpiece and another with everything identical except the tailpiece so I think we are on the right tracks.
I was asking for a friend so this is not my bass. Personally, as far as bass guitars are concerned I am a Fender man. As far as other guitars go I like most makes
