What's with the Mesa Boogie Fathom?

Anyone know the deal with the Mesa Boogie Fathom? It's 600w @ 2 or 4 ohms with one preamp tube. What's the dis/advantage with this compared to an m-pulse 600, or for that matter a big block?
Thanks.

I just got one and its 600 and 2ohms i think. This has more low end than the big block and its easy to use compared to the mpulse 600/wa/ven. The big thing of course is the compression is not there like the mpulse series.

Yes, one 12AX7. Chris at Mesa told me that this head voicing sits right in the middle of the of the M-Pulse 600 and the Big Block. He said the 600w is nowhere near being overstated either. He told me they fired it up at Mesa in testing and it has tremendous headroom. Looking forward to testing it somewhere soon.
