I have good reasons to hate them. Too bad because I kinda liked them at first. Then- just like Justin Beiber- Chad goes photo-opping with Stephen Harper and then releases a friggin bro country song on the rock charts. Done with em now.

I dont think I can determine those values, I think that ultimately the value of what youre doing musically is what it does for you and your bandmates to create and play.

Too many people on TB think that the only reason to play is to make your $100 a night getting the drunk MILFs to shake their assets on the dance floor. There is nothing wrong with that, I did it for years myself. There is nothing wrong with wanting to play your own music either; I'm not sure why some people have such a negative reaction to that.

Too many people on TB look down on others for not liking the same music as they do. To me it's perfectly acceptable to like and enjoy playing "simple" songs that a lot of people here seem to think is only worthy of contempt. It's rather arrogant to look down on other musicians and their audience based on music taste, or even based on skill level.

Nickelback is just another (albeit one of the first) in a long line of hapless celebrities to stumble into success by being arbitrarily sucked into the Internet Hate Machine.

It's funny you mention that Nickelback Doesn't Change thing...cuz someone did the same thing for ACDC, Metallica, & Led Zeppelin...So, it ain't just them.
