Did I really say that? Just kidding.
I am a retired electronics technician. First job out of tech school in the 1970s was working on telephone central office equipment for GTE. Then on to troubleshooting very high-tech, (at the time) circuit boards for GE Medical Systems, (now GE Healthcare). X-Ray, and patient monitoring, ultrasound, and such. Did system diagnostic work on magnetic resonance scanners, and positron emmision scanners for medical diagnostic imaging systems. GE paid well, but sucked the life out of us. Did R&D, and field service on machines used to make integrated circuit devices, ("ic chips"). Did work on robotics and "machine vision" systems. I have also done lots of side work doing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical/automotive repair. Also industrial electrician type work as an independent contractor. I fix computers, washing machines, refrigerators, furnaces and just about anything that is electrical, mechanical, gas, oil, or coal fired too. Check engine light troubleshooting too.
Now, I mostly drink beer, and have fun with the grandkids.
Oh yeah, now I also do sound for bands just for the fun of it, as a (money losing) retirement gig.
