What's Your Dream Amp?...(Combo, Head and Cab, Whatever..)

1 for each need, my man...

For Blues and Old School R&B:

The cab would be an Ampeg PF-115HE (the one without the tweeter), combined with an Ampeg PF-50T with a beefed-up output transformer (assuming it would still fit in the cab) and re-biased for 7581-A tubes for a total of 70 Watts. I know 20W isn't a gigantic difference, but I'll take as much clean headroom as I can get in this application.

For Rock & Roll through 70's punk and the earliest Heavy Metal:

Head: Traynor YBA200-2, possibly re-biased for 6550's

Cab: Some kind of awesome 2x15. Note sure which one.

Finally, for NWOBHM and beyond, I see myself getting a DNA rig, consisting of 2 4x10's and the 1350 head.

Man, I'm one of the lucky ones that feel like I have my dream rig, at least out of gear that's currently been released to-date. It'd likely take something special to unseat my 1001RB-ii into my Fearless F115, but we'll see what GK cooks up over the next year or so... ;)

Well, I've got the multiple Sunn 2000s' covered, so I'll go with Marshal 200 (Pig, not Major), into two extra tall 1982B 4x12s, similar to the rig Entwistle used occassionally in '66, as well as what Ron Wood used in the Jeff Beck Group.
