It was a correction, because your post said the Enlightenment was right before the World Wars. The Enlightenment era was over for more than a century before WWI broke out. Enlightenment influence did (and does) continue to play a role in western culture, so one could trace some aspect of the wars to it, but one could as easily do so with a dozen other intellectual and cultural developments of the intervening century.
