whats your fav saying or quote?

"Each vague order leads to a precise crap".
(highly applicable to my day job managers..)

"The truth = we don't care. The most important is to convince."
(extract from an excellent french movie named "the brio" - And you can verify it everyday in a lot of life areas)

But -perhaps- my favorite comes from a friendly american colleague i met in Seattle during a buisness trip:

"Life in one shot. Then you're done"

With this single phrase, this guy made me think a lot and change views on things.
Thank you Thomas.

"greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return"

Not a quote but may be wittiest response I have heard; I will use quotation marks to make it legit

" Bono at Concert; holding a Triangle and hitting it every second or so; saying every time I hit this Triangle a person dies of Hunger;

Audience member " Then stop fooking doing it"

Gas! GAS! Quick, boys!—An ecstasy of fumbling

Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time,

But someone still was yelling out and stumbling

And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime.—

Dim through the misty panes and thick green light,

As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

There were ten musical instruments in use among the ancient irish. Of these there were two kinds of bagpipes. The piob mor, or war pipes, referred to in the Brehon Laws of the fifth century, and the Uileann pipes. Shakespeare called them “woolen” which came into general vogue about the year 1760. They were called Uilleann because they were worked by the elbow, hence giving rise to the phrase …,“more power to your elbow.”

-Cathal O’Byrne

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan

A stately pleasure-dome decree:

Where Alph, the sacred river, ran

Through caverns measureless to man

Down to a sunless sea.
