What's your favorite analog phaser?

The HBE Psilocybe Phaser. It works for guitar and bass. A bit dark for my taste but it's cool.

Yeah this one is my favorite, its got that Ted Nugent Stranglehold/Pink Floyd Animals sound, if you like that sort of thing.

I am surprised no one mentioned it, but I have always had a soft-spot for the Bad Stone. Not the most versatile phaser, but certainly one worth remembering.

The Script Phase 90 sounds too bland/subtle to me. It's 'cooler' than the block version of course because it was out of production, copied by several boutiques and subsequently re-issued... but that doesn't make it sound better!

Go one better and get a Phase 99 - two 90s in one box! Switchable between script and block tones, and you can hard sync the two LFOs together if you want for single-90 sound. I *think* it's still analog but I would have to check to be sure.

Moog Moogerfooger Phaser at home. Its large but sounds great with a lot of flexibility. At the gig its the MXR Script Logo Phase 90.

I think the Pigtronix EP2 is a very underrated phaser. I'm currently using the SA Orbit modulator which is very versatile and it sounds really good. Ymmv

I'd say check out the new Spaceman Explorer, it's really cool. It even has an expression pedal input, right now they are selling for the same or less as original price because there's a bunch of people who thought they'd flip them but couldn't.

I have a cheap clone and the input easily distorts on my bass, though.

The real one doesn't have this issue.

The differences are very subtle for the most part. It all comes down to what you like. Or think you’re hearing most times.

The Wombtone comes to mind. Three LFO waveforms to choose from. Also supports midi, and you can add a “wank” (i.e expression ) pedal if you’re a real phase shift stoner.
