My fav by far is the Darkglass B7K. By far. just about every dirt pedal I usethe Blower Box, Rams head muff, Static fuzz. I recently got the One Control Hooker Bassmachine which is really awesome. My Fulltone OCD of course. I have some new stuff coming that I think will be favs too, the DG Harmonic Booster, Jext Telez Dizzy fuzz, Manolith clone and a double OCD clone eventually. Great stuff.
If you could keep just one overdrive/distortion pedal from everything you've had up until now, what would it be?
That's extremely tough. But if I look at my track record, it would be the OCD. Or the ODB3. As long as I have my B7K, either one reallyBut now that I run my OCD through a clean blend, I love it even more now.
I thought for sure you were gonna say a B3K. Haha! I've never tried a B7K. Does it really help that much? People swear by them!
Im one of those people.
Ive never had the B3K. Its the only DG pedal I havent tried. Well, I havent tried the older ones but I do have a Harmonic Booster on the wayBut yes, IMO, it does make a HUGE difference and its worth every penny and so much more (the B7K. Well, any of their pedals are.) The B7K is my tone. I stack it with a few other tone shapers but its the key to my sound. And it makes all my dirt pedals take on a whole new dimension and life, a whole new voice and character. It gives them depth and more bite. Without it, everything seems bland because Ive been playing with it for a couple years now. Love it dude. Love it. It will most likely never leave my board. And if I stop using a board, I will just use the B7K.
How do you yourself use it? Gigs through a PA? Home practice? Directly into the amp or through an effects loop? Sorry to keep bugging you...!
