I'd love to see a 5 string with a reverse headstock. Assuming a 35" scale neck, it would give you a 40"+ pull on the B string.
That would solve any 'floppiness' that could occur.

I like 4 in a line headstocks. Either from Fender, G&L, Peavey, or old Ibanez.
Tend to not go for pointy headstocks nowadays though.

A couple of my personal basses that I really dig the headstocks of, and I for sure have got my eye on the "o" bass for when we can get them here in the US, and I really dig the headstock and the looks all around! I've owned a lot of Fenders, and I love them, don't get me wrong, but I've always just thought that classic fender headstock was pretty boring and blah, I mean, that general shape has pretty well become the standard especially for bass, but I always thought it was kinda boring. Don't hate me, folks!
I like Fender's or a tasteful 2 + 2 like Rick, vintage Rivoli, and the late 80's Yamaha Motion B (that was my first real bass).
Not really into any reverse headstocks, the explorer, anything to metal looking or with sharp points that would hurt if you rammed it into you.

My preference is for the standard Spector and Warwick styles...
