Just curious... Which instrumental track(s) really stands out to you?

As for me, I have to go with an absolute classic, that I personally haven't heard surpassed.

The Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein (Studio Version) - YouTube

I just love the simplicity of the opening riff, the progressive complexity, and whats not to love about the psychedelic breakdown.

Oh, and here's a close second:

Tough call, since most of what I'm listening to lately is instrumental music, but I have to stand by the classics:

"The Call of Ktulu" by Metallica. Sorry, I gotta go with the S&M version, as Newstead rips it in this one.

Good for you on Apostrophe and Red especially. I started to put down a couple different cuts from In the Court of the Crimson King only to realize they weren't instrumental (though had really long exploratory instrumental passages!)

Man, too many to mention. I prefer instrumental music for the most part and the older I get the less music with vocals I like.

I love the classic stuff like Ventures, Shadows, Duane Eddy, Davie Allan & the Arrows, Dick Dale, the mighty Link Wray, but I also love a lot more recent instro stuff like Mogwai, Friends of Dean Martinez, Dirty Three, Pell Mell...
