What's your irrational fear?

I've graduated from bedroom player to living room player and I'm pretty sure that one day, this fan will get its blades on one of my headstocks. Then I'll swing from that wind sucker until it crashes through the glass top of the round table below. Dimmers, and all, this thing is always on when I practice. But some day...

I cannot watch helicopter blades spinning on TV or at a movie. Feels like they are going to spin right off the prop shaft and into my head. Even that ceiling fan picture gives me the heebies.

No problems with choppers (or ceiling fans) in real life. Irrational.

Someone pushing open a door just as I'm reaching for the handle on the otherside. I'm terrified I'm going to break a finger or something.
I always wait a second or two before reaching for the handle.....but what if I shouldn't have waited or I waited too long

Spiders. I absolutely hate them.

Unfortunately I'm the spider squisher in my house, so I have to push through the fear on a weekly basis this time of year.

I tried passing it off on the 17 year old step son, but he's not having any of that.

It appears my position is solid and without of fear of being relinquished any time in the near future.

Put your foot by the door first, that way if it does open, it will be stopped. This actually happened once and I almost fractured a finger. Ever since then I do the foot thing.

Honestly, I gave up. You were too hard to find. And I'm lazy.

Hitting your headstock on a ceiling fan is NOT an irrational fear. Ask me how I know...

I have a pretty rational (in my mind) fear of playing any instrument in front of someone else, even my own kin. (except for the bongos)
I thought I'd gotten over it, but then the one person outside the family that heard me "perform" later said that I have no sense of rhythm or pitch perception

Ok, you know how the phlebotomist squishes the tip of your finger to poke it for the iron test? Well, my irrational fear is that when the pressured up tip of my finger is poked it'll pop like a balloon and splatter everywhere.

Phew, typed it, no cold sweats and avoided multiple opportunities to work in the term 'prick'.
