What's your MÜB story?

miziomix, I see you have an option that you call Infinity P-UP. I think that's a wonderful option to build in a bass. Can you post pics of that?:cool:

@Clark Dark Hi, here are some picture of an upcoming bass with Infinity P-up casing. The casings are not finished yet though.

....and one of them is upside down in this picture....and the body paint is only half way through....oh well....WIP pictures anyway. LOL

how do you find the difference ?

We'll let you know shortly ;) We felt that the colour scheme of the Porthos was just screaming for Evo frets. They are a great alternative to stainless frets. I expect more snap and resonant tone. Place your bet heheh

Whoa. When I first heard of this guy, it was just a pretty cool variation on the jazz. And now I'm totally blown away. Considering that I live a few hours drive away, maybe I should consider placing an order... one day.

Thanks! yeah... those were the times! LOL! Since we are neighbours, drop by sometimes for a drive test ;)

That's awesome !!! You can either go with J-pup's or switch to soapbars. Me likey:cool:

In fact, you can replace J singles of any brand with J splits of a different brand too. The casings in the picture fit any P2 like soap bars of any brand (for a 5 string in this case). But if you already knew at specs stage that you wanted, say, start with singles and then replace them with humbuckers in EMG size that can also be done. Custom is the name of the game ;)

Been pretty quiet around here lately, so...

Just came back from KL. Met up with Maurizio. Put some deposit down for my second MUB. All I want to say now is that it will be an Airborne 5.

Follow MUB facebook for details when it comes out :P

Hopefully the review for my first MUB will be out by late February (video by bassFREQ). Initial thoughts for now:
- thick huge fat tone, clear lows, growly mids, clear highs;
- overall: in your face kind of tone

Which bass is that in the picture?

Well guys, I'm in! I entered and won the most recent faceBook contest for a Standard Über-Jay 4 string. Of course I'll need more, so...
I just sent Maurizio my wish list for upgrades and we're on our way.
I'm really excited to have my first custom, built to my own specs by one of the finest builders around. I love the key-less headstock and Buckeye Burl Maurizio gets. Can't wait. I'll post updates as I receive them... project will be The Über-Jay Hawk!
