Double Bass Wheel with Chadwick/ collar endpins

So my bass is getting some work done to it and I am borrowing my friends chadwick while mines in the shop. The only problem I am having is that since it has the carbon fibre endpin that just tightens around the shaft with a collar, my wheel doest work to well because it keeps turning while I'm walking with my bass. I live in the city and have to walk around with it often and would prefer not to have to carry it everywhere. Anyone else have a solution to this problem? Also I know a buggy would be a perfect solution but I only have the bass for one or two weeks so there is no reason to buy one.

Also not sure if this should be here or on misc forum.

You can strap the bass to a suitcase buggy or something similar. More work to put it on and off than the bass buggy or your wheel and may not fit the doors because it works like wheels in the bass case, but better than carrying the bass around for more than a small distance. Should be OK for one or two weeks.
