When a girl asks you to play something..

Just Play some slap bass and in your deepest voice Sing...

"hey Pretty mama, You wanna hear my funky Jam?"

"C'mon baby gonna slap that bass, all night long for you"

Then make up some improv about what she is wearing and how good she looks...
while continuing to slap...
Go back into the chorus, and then when your done put down you bass.
and smoothly say..

"your damn right"
Like from the shaft theme

I guarantee she will be impressed... lol..

something slick and funky on the 1 usually impresses. i drop a little "portrait of tracy" occasionally too.

just about any smooth, walking jazz part on an upright earns a smile.

if you want to make them laugh, the pink panther theme and the meow mix jingle never fail.

Some things I have used in the past for a quick solo bass and vocals:

Folsom Prison
If you want me to stay
The Trooper
Paranoid

(They all can kind of work if you can work them)

And for just some bass solo stuff.

Minuet In G
Moonlight Sonata
The Awakening
