When did Modulus stop using positional markers on the fretboard?

I've noticed that, and not sure exactly when. My earliest Q5 was a '97 and it was dot-less.
Maybe dots were offered as an options, as opposed to standard? I've never had dots in any of the 5 Q5's I've owned.

You're probably right. I bet that it's an option.

I can't guarantee this is the case, but it seems to me like I stopped seeing the dots on Quantums about the same time as Modulus added the truss, er, "relief adjusting system"...

Zon's don't generally have fingerboard fret markers either - abalone dots are a $125 upcharge for many models.

In both cases they are an upgrade- you have to ask for them. My modulus had them and it was an adjustment rod-equipped model.

Not and 'upgrade' but a no charge option. They are termed top dots and side dots. Modulus has always offered the choice of one, the other, both or none.
