At my biggest gigs, I use a Mesa 400+ into a Bergie 610, EV 215, and Bergie 210. If thats not loud enough, I dunno what is.

all you need's a sansamp and a tiny combo for you to hear all that tubey goodness on stage, run a line to the PA liek all the cool guys do.

im just a product of my environment
Ok so maybe yoou are right and you would need more than a tiny vcombo. but there are lots of smart people saying just use a 1 12! loojk below! so i have to believe them and the guys who say, use a pa, and of course everybody eve3n the tube guys use a sansamp so... that must be the way to go. I got a 112 combo already, savin up for thye sansamp, then i'll be all set. this getting a rig stuff is so simple!
but maybe even so.. if th evolume is not enough. at least you do not dispute the tubey goodness of the sansamp. the rig you describe... it would need 2 sansamos, then it would sound like a really loud tube amp, only 2! evryone knows even a tube amp needs help from a sansamp to saound good. i just figure why bother witht he tube ampo if thats the case. sorry if you got upset! HUGS!
and now your moment of ze3n
could god make a bass rig so big he couldn't carry it in one hand?
hmm, well, thats one for the philanthropists to figure out!

At this point I'm running a cirrus bass into a ART all tube preamp into a bbe 422 sonic maximizer into 2 Qsc rmx 850s one is driving a Mesa Powerhouse 1000 the other is running 2 peavey 410 TVX 4 ohm cabinets. Is this a touch overboard or does anyone have a similar sized rig?
