So, if you're the one who's leaving, is it a good idea to at least offer to try and find your own replacement? Or is it better to just play out your commitment and let them find your replacement on their own?

My band has had members leave by both announcing their resignment, and being fired. It usually hits me during the first show when i look over and see someone different than I'm used to.
