When to change Band Name?

There's nothing wrong with a revolving door of band members, especially if who you have now is good.
I'm always promoting events with, "we got this new drummer, and he's so good, all the old drummers should write us notes of apology," type of thing, and it's a big joke with fans, because they're all, "isn't that what you said about the last drummer?"
Nobody cares. Just play great music, and do it like you care. If you have solid name recognition, keep the name.
