Just got a veeeery nice J-bass and would like to put a genuine Fender ashtray-style cover over the bridge. Is there a best or preferred source for factory replacement parts?

Where can I get an ashtray?

I've seen (and priced) all kinds of brand-new ashtrays on eBay. Quite a few of them are still-in-the-package 'Genuine Fender' parts on top of that.
I usually have the local Fender dealer order stuff like that, I've never had a problem or been disappointed.
Make sure you order one with the screws- they are not included normally but some ebay sellers include them.
