Where do you find the shorties?

Okay, here she is. Initial impressions are as follows:

Cons: Bridge is not my favorite; honestly its held on by one screw and has two more for adjusting height. It seems unnecessarily cheap. A TOM bridge would have been a much better idea I think. The nut seems sloppily cut and really soft. I was able to file the nut for the wider strings I installed by simply using the new strings and moving them back and forth in the slot. These particular strings make the D string a bit tight and the high e string seems about 1/4 shorter than I would prefer.

Pros: No neck dive whatsoever, the body end is much heavier than the neck end. The Earnie Ball strings I tried seem to work and they are only $7 a set (the low E hole on the bridge had to be reamed out for the string to fit through it, I also reamed the A but I dont know if it was needed). It sounds incredible. It sounds like a Jazz with really hot pickups. Even in single coil mode there is no noise as I type next to the computer, tv, and wii (my p bass hums sitting here). I think it looks good. Good fret ends. Good fit and finish for the most part. There is a lot of growl to my ears and it sounds good.

Me too. I ordered one already. I've been playing an old Univox Hi-Flyer bass and just recently bought an Ibanez miKro bass. I have to say I love this miKro bass. I don't like the controls much but I know how the change them and I will very soon. The Hi-Flyer is a short scale but the miKro bass is a little short and fits me better. But the Talman has always made me smile every time I see one. I have a Talman electric guitar from 94 and it's a great guitar. I am so happy Ibanez produced a short scale version of the Talman bass.
I have ordered the ss talman bass too. Looks good
