I'm much the same, though to a lesser extent Amazon as until recently it was hard to get many US sellers to ship overseas.
As do I (acct holder since 98) but as their fees have risen over the years I can often source the same parts for less elsewhere, though for some sellers shipping is stupid. For example recently I bought 2 new blurays from a store in the US. Postage $6. Tried to buy a set of strings from a vendor, so a smaller package, yet wanted to charge me $25 almost as much as the strings.
i voted "none of the above" only because all of the above was not an option.
For pots, caps and other small electronic pieces Mouser and Digikey (Radiospares and Element 14 in other parts of the world) are usually much cheaper. There's nothing special about a pot used in a MI.

my first stop is actually google --- the rest is price comparisons and other (e.g., shipping) considerations.
buying parts (i buy a lot) really requires some 'shopping' = if you're looking for deals. but if you value brand/store loyalty over savings and/or expeditious shipping, then i can see the difference. thanks for pointing that out!
