I was just about to upload a really great picture of my breakfast burrito to the GOF thread.

I had just sat down to take care of some “business” when I clicked the talkbass shortcut and Nooooo! It’s was like reaching over and realizing someone hadn’t replaced the used up roll. It’s been a long week.
I was actually contemplating posting a trade feeler in the Classifieds on Sunday since I was going to be off this past week for spring break (I work as a high school paraeducator)... but then TalkBass went down.
But this whole thing just convinced me to exercise a little patience, get a few of my ducks in row, and post it later on, perhaps when the school year ends. This way, I have a little more time on my hands to do everything more properly. (Looking to do a local/local-ish trade only).

I’ve been in the hospital for the entire outage. Serious. REALLY bad time for the data center to burn down.
Huh. I thought for sure I was the only one.
I have no memory of my life before the Great Outage of 21. Can't even remember my real name. The site awarded me as an "Old School" member upon returning. Who am I? What is happening? Where did the last ten years go?
After confirming my modem was functioning properly, I checked isitdown and sure enough, Down For Everybody was the return value. I won't say it felt like the world was crashing didn't around me, but... well, I won't say it...
A few hours later, after much gnashing of teeth - and yes, a little actual bass practice - I vaguely remembered that there was a Facebook page for us and learned the news there. Never thought to check reddit.
Did have some fun commenting on the FB posts along with several brothers and sisters! But it wasn't the same.

I was actually at my girlfriend's place, in quarantine due to travelling outside of the province with her for a house hunting trip (moving to Kingston at the end of the month). My guitar was left in the barracks throughout, same with all my books, I figured I wouldn't need them because I've got talkbass 
this thread proves more than anything...

Like most of you, I was in the bathroom. After a few days, my conclusion was that a bunch of drummers banded together and got their revenge on us.
I'm not completely certain what I was doing when it went down, but whatever I was doing, I'm absolutely sure the drummer was at fault, and needs to be fired.

I had to buy a bass from Reverb. It was awful.
My thought was my company finally blocked TB due to me spending many work hours on it. 
But when I attempted to access the site from my phone, I knew the site was down. Then I head over to FB to get the scoop about the fire and water damage in the data center. Yikes!
