Which 1980 bass is worth looking for?

Out of total curiosity, what bass from 1980 would you class as being worth searching for?

This is just hypothetical question, I am not searching for one at present, but I would keep my eyes open for one that is worth it as I think it would be cool to own a bass the same age as me.

You could look for a pre-Erne Ball Musicman. I recently bought a 1979 all original and it's a great sounding bass! Own one of the first basses with an on board active preamp. If you think about it, many many basses since have had active on board preamps because of the Musicman.

I'm crazy in love with my 1980 Ric 4001.

A 1980 Stingray would be very cool, even if it most likely weighs as much as a boat anchor.

2, Ibanez Musician, but just about any Ibanez from that period is awesome or a Stingray. My main bass then was an Ibanez Artist, an awesome sounding, beautiful boat anchor. Fenders in 1980 were still the same sad instruments from the late 70's and Alembics were, as they are today, too expensive!
