Which 1980 bass is worth looking for?

Stingrays and Ibanez would be my choices from 80.
G&L as well, though I always thought those came in 81... But I'm in no way a G&L expert.

As I recall, the first ones I saw (on the east coast) were in fall of '80 (Wurlitzer Music, Boston). I got an early L-1000 in spring of '81 in Chicago. So either year kinda works.

Out of total curiosity, what bass from 1980 would you class as being worth searching for?

This is just hypothetical question, I am not searching for one at present, but I would keep my eyes open for one that is worth it as I think it would be cool to own a bass the same age as me.

The SB-202 is awesome ! I would buy one if I had the money.
