Double Bass Which 210 cab for an Upright/Electric?

Hey I posted this over in the bass guitar section but the thread pertains to both Upright bass and Bass guitar...i figure it'll be nice to get opinions from both upright bassists n electric bassists

what 210 cab would work great with an upright and electric bass? i think a good head for both instruments would be a little mark II since i want a nice, loud transparent amp. but im open to suggestions for a head as well. thanks!

so far i've looked at Epifani, Eden, Mark Guitars 210 cabs

I think much of it depends on the application and styles of
music. Its easier to make it work for electric than upright.

For me, the LMII and Epi UL210 is the worst upright combo.
Its got so much big low end that its problematic with the
upright. Even with my Focus its too hard to control the
low end spread with my upright bass. The Eden 2x10 is
(in my opinion) not voiced at all for the upright. Harsh highs
and bumped up low mids. Although, that combo with the
LMII might sound very good.
Without actually hearing it, (yet) I think the new EA nl210
with the Focus could be a great doubling rig. What I do, is
run the upright straight into the Focus. Then I plug the
electric into a Sansamp Paradriver going into the effects
return on the Focus. It sounds great and both basses have
their own eq.
I'm sure there are many other ways to go, but this one works
for me.

If I had it to do over again -- I'd go with one of the Euphonic 2x10 cabs as well. It's super clean, loud, and portable. That Mark Bass 2x10 looks very portable! Haven't heard it yet...

I've been using an SWR 2x10 Goliath III for years. It sounds best flat, but it's nice to have extra bottom in certain situations.

I'd certianly demo the new EA NL 210. It should give you what you
are looking for in a doubling cabinet. There are several folks on the BG side that are moving to these cabinets. KJung has ordered one so mabey he will chime in.

If you are set on a 2x10, I have had very good luck with a Bag End 2x10 - clean and very natural sounding with an upright and an electric.

However, I have since moved to a set of Aguilar 1x12's and an Acoustic Image head. IMO, sounds better than a 2x10 for both upright and electric, and more flexible as well (I can take 1 or 2 1x12 to gigs). I think it gives me the best of both worlds ...

I just noticed your on Long Island, I got my NL210 from the Groove shop in Farmingdale, great guys!

They also have Epifani & Glockenklang 2x10 cabinets, I think in stock. You can also bring your equipment down to test everything. They have a wizzy 12 and some Accugroove stuff you'll have plenty to choose from.

Your also welcome to hook up with me and try my NL210 with the Glock Heart Rock, thus far the best combination I have been able to find for doubling!! IMO of course.
