Which 210

So I am looking for a new 4 ohm 210 so i dont have to lug around my big 410 (its ported and very deep) everywhere I Play.

I Play metal and want a sound that brings out the mids, and is able to handle low Drop C tunings.

I voted "other" because I am satisfied a lot with my simple Nemesis NC210P anywhere I play. I suppose that with the Eden you can't go wrong even more!!!!

dont let the name put you off. quite possible the best 210 i've heard. handles the lower frequencies really well.

If you are looking for lightweight, Try an Avatar 112 . Good mids and will handle the drop tuning better than a 210. In a Metal band, you will most likely have to run a "line out" or mic the cab (or better yet, both)

I'd expect a 1x12" to have even less of a chance keeping up than a 2x10".

If I were you I'd think lighter, not smaller - i.e. neo 4x10" or similar.

An Eden 210XLT will give you the mids you are looking for, however a 210XST is the one you want for the thumping lows. Depends which is more important.

You might be best to get the 210XST and EQ your rig to bring out your mids to your liking?

Boogies have the mids of sex, but I doubt many 2x10's will sound clean in Drop-C. My Powerhouse 2x10 sounds fine in B/E and recorded a cover of Aerials by System of a Down just fine. I've found alot of it with low tunings has to do with the wood of your bass.

Also, I see your looking for Neo-drivers. I think my cab weighs in around 69 lbs. haha

I want a 210 so I can take to that to practices and to record.

a lot of things I do the 410 is over kill, plus the 410 is around 85lbs.

I voted other as well. Why not move to the Genz-Benz Neox 212T. It weighs 50 lbs., has edge-lift handles, and tilt-back wheels built in for easy transport. It would give you excellent mids but handle any drop-tuning much better than a 210.

You planning on using the 2 together at any point? Cos your 2x10 (Hypothetically assuming they have equally efficient speakers) will end up twice as loud.

I also kinda doubt that a 210 is gonna hack a metal gig, you up against 1 wall of guitar or 2? With 1 you might just survive if you stack it on top of a load of milk crates, but I imagine your gonna get drowned out by drums and guitars either way.

I use a MESA Powerhouse 2x10 and have tried the Bag End and they bot handle the LowB on my 6 or 5 no problem and are very loud!

why would the 210 have more power than my 410? they are both 4 ohms

The Mesa powerhouse is most likly out of my pricerange.

The Genz Neox212t looks pretty good, but I am looking for the puch of 10s and I hate 15's. It wouldnt hurt having 12's though. But I also want a small cab.
