Due to lack of jobs in my area i have been forced to sell my 78 fender jazz and a custom fretless. So now im left with my sterling HS, my favorite bass of all so i will never get rid of it. My sterling is fine but i dont want somthing crazy to happen and im left screwed. So i was wondering if the Sterling by musicman SB14 are good basses. Im looking to get a backup for closer to 500$ maybe 700$. Basically i guess im trying to decide between a SB14 if they are good enough or just getting a good cheaper fender. I have access to fenders if i choose one of those but can only order the sterling SB14. Any opinion would be nice.
