Which bass are you getting next?

Whatever I get next is one that I won't be modding. Found I'm spending far too much time obsessing about mods and pup upgrades etc.

I'd actually trade all my basses in now for one that I absolutely loved.

I'd rather have one really good one than a bunch of " not bad....but " basses.

I've had about 25 basses in my life and the five I have now will do me for the rest of it. OK, I might change a bridge here, the pickups there.
My real focus is on improving my technique so that they all sound as good as they can.

The TMB 100? I got the 300 myself, the bridge pickup and electronics were more appealing

I'm looking at the 30.

I also had the 300. Sold it cuz I didn't like the color or weight, wanted to make room for other basses, and bought it at a price where I didn't take a hit at all. I work with the guy who bought it from me and he's completely loving it. He's a long time player, but one of those odd ball non bass geek types that bought one no name bass back in 1980 and has been playing only that, up until now . What's wrong with some people?

I'm actually looking to get me another Ibanez SR5005 Prestige with my next bass. I've had 3 of the Prestige basses and they are the best value you can find for the price range.

I'm still getting to grips with my recent purchase of a Burns of London "Bison" model (think '60's band The Searchers). Boy is this beast ever long scale. In my avatar pic I'm playing a long scale Gibson Ripper, bought new in '76 and the Bison is an even longer scale by a few inches. My next purchase early in the new year will be a "Ricky" 4003 stereo JG, because I've wanted one pretty much all my bass playing years.

A nice used Squier P has been screaming for me the last couple weeks. Since I bailed on a trip to Daytona Beach this week, pretty sure it's gonna happen. And I'll be spending way less this than a trip.

I would love to get another, Roscoe. They have new line of J basses coming out. Probably go for a four string.

The next one for me will be a custom shop Kiesel (Carvin) Icon series. That is unless I find a Ric Cheyenne II in about the same price range. In that case it will be a coin tosser!

I thought I had decided that I was done with Fender basses, but I got the chance to try this one, and I loved it. I loved the pickup switch, and I loved the tone options it has. And Ive been wanting to find a shortscale bass that both sounded good, and was affordable. Im excited about getting one this coming winter.

Plan on building a Warmoth supercharged P bass styled after the Dusty Hill signature Fender, and maybe a Sterling SUB Ray5 if I have enough left over and finally take the plunge into 5-strings.

I own a Rockbass Alien Deluxe 6. It is quite enjoyable to play. It's handy to pick up if I have a sudden idea to attempt. It actually keeps up if you have a few friends playing acoustic guitars. Not loud enough for an acoustic performance, but sufficient for a jam/practice.[/QUOTE]

Which bass are you getting next?

An Alembic Balance K with a combination of Series II and EMW electronics. Cocobolo top, Brazilian Rosewood back and headplate, fretless Macassar ebony fingerboard (no lines, of course, the only way to fly ), maple neck with CF stringers, nickel plated hardware, Hipshot Ultralite tuning keys.

Just ordered this one today, kind of an impulse buy. Even called GC to ask about the “replacement pickup” but I’m not sure the guy even knew what a bass guitar was. Hopefully it works out.
