Well my friend came over today. He brought his Fender American P-Bass. That thing was amazing! Not only did it kick my bass in the face in terms of sound, but its neck was crazy fast! It was a lot easier to play than my current bass.
Anyway, so we fixed the guitar. It is no longer bent so far forward. The strings are much closer to the fret board so it is much easier to play. We fixed the tunings on the bridge. He said it really isn't a good bass that I should spend more money on for strings and new pick ups, ect.
So that's pretty much the verdict for my current bass. What do you guys think?

Today I was in my local shop trying out some new basses. From Music Man, they only had a StingRay; no Ray34. So I decided to try a fender jazz bass (like the one i posted the link of.) It was plugged into an orange amp (which was a really nice amp). I played it and I really liked it. The guy at the shop then showed me a fender squire vintage jazz bass. It was like 10 times better than the Fender jazz bass! I loved it! Do you guys think that's a good bass?

That said, there have been a lot of threads posted on the CV series basses from Squier.
Go to the Search function. Use the advanced search to look for "Classic Vibe" in thread titles, and you'll come up with over 100 separate threads on the subject.
You probably won't read them all, but there's enough information out there already to help you make an informed decision, if that's what you're looking for.

I looked up the reviews and it has pretty good reviews for it. So once I try a Ray34, I will decide between the two.
I will probably get an Orange Crush amp with it. The classic vibe sounded great in it!

Well I tried the sterling. I liked playing it more than the classic vibe. however, it was way heavier than the classic vibe. i didn't really like that.
If you want a new bass that packs a lot of punch and become more noticeable in the band mix, sterling by musicman would be a good choice.
